Dr. Baker has a combined private and academic OB/GYN practice with the University Physicians at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in Amarillo. She is interested in teen pregnancy, postpartum depression, and promoting preventive medicine for the women of the Texas Panhandle, as well as Resident and Student education and serves as the Assistant Residency Director.
Beverly E. Gerard, M.D.

- Dr. Gerard has over twenty years of experience as an OB-GYN, with her personal interest and expertise in female hormones, PMS, perimenopause, and menopause. As well, she specializes in a preventative and integrated approach to female health management with emphasis on diet, exercise, and supplements. In addition, Dr. Gerard performs a variety of minimally invasive gynecological surgical procedures for endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, and pelvic pain.
- She is actively involved in researching hormone replacement. She has completed a three year study of Bioidentical hormones to be published, and is presently initiating another estrogen hormone research project.
- Born in El Paso, Texas, of military parents, she lived in various countries, such as England, Germany, and Okinawa. She graduated with honors from the University of Texas in Austin, and received her medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock and completed her OB-GYN residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Amarillo.
- She had a private solo OB-GYN practice in Austin for 14 years and worked for a private Fort Worth gynecology clinic prior to coming to Amarillo. Her interests are organic gardening, slow foods, Kundalini Yoga, chess, billiards, and any outdoor sport. She speaks fluent German and some French. Her four sons are grown. One lives in Frankfurt, Germany, another in Christiansted, St. Croix, and two are in Denton, Texas, attending the University of North Texas.

Marjorie Jenkins, M.D.
Marjorie Jenkins , M.D. received her undergraduate degree in chemical engineering. After several years in the chemical industry, she attended medical school at East Tennessee State University . She then completed her residency at the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Jenkins conducted an internal medicine private practice prior to pursuing a career in academics.
Dr. Jenkins earned the Special Dean's Award, OB/Gyn Award, and Janet M. Glascow Award, which is presented to a woman graduating first in her class. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Alpha Omega Alpha honor societies.
Dr. Jenkins joined TTUHSC with a joint appointment in Internal Medicine/OB-GYN in June 2001 at the rank of Assistant Professor, promoting in 2005 to Associate Professor. Her special focus is Women's Health, including the development of our Women's Health Fellowship. Dr. Jenkins is also Co-Director of the Women's Health Research Institute of Amarillo at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Her current research is directed toward osteoporosis and postmenopausal hypertension.

Dr. Jenkins philosophy for women's health is "partnership". A physician and patient are partners to achieve the best health outcomes. She believes good health includes not only physical health, but mental, emotional, sexual, social, and spiritual health as well. One of Dr. Jenkins' favorite activities in her role with the Women's Health Research Institute at Texas Tech is community education. She believes knowledge is power and by educating women about health issues we empower them.

Dr. Kauffman approaches his practice of medicine and his teaching responsibilities with the unqualified enthusiasm that he brings to all areas of his life. He is interested in all aspects of women's health, including their mental health. As a lifelong learner, he is competent in two languages other than English, is a classical pianist and loves opera and tennis. Also included in his special interests are pediatric gynecology, premenstrual syndrome, endometriosis, hirsutism, chronic pelvic pain, operative hysteroscopy and laparoscopy, polycystic ovarian disease, as well as the assessment and treatment of the infertile couple.

Dr. Lund brings to Texas Tech a comprehensive practice experience gained from 10 years as an OB/GYN Physician in the United States Navy. He is committed to medical education and the optimizing of OB/GYN care to the community. He also has a particular interest in issues of patient safety and autonomy with on-going research projects in these areas. Dr. Lund considers it a privilege to be a part of the Texas Tech team and to have the opportunity to serve the women of Amarillo and their families.

In his position of Director of Gynecologic Oncology at the Harrington Cancer Center, Dr. Robinson is one of few physicians in the panhandle who can be considered an authority in his field. He continually strives for innovative medical treatments, along with new ways for women to better deal with the upset in their life that they are encountering. Compassion, caring and unsurpassed knowledge, makes Dr. Robinson an outstanding specialist in the area of Gynecologic Oncology.
Dr. Robinson has written and contributed many articles, book chapters and abstracts on a variety of medical topics pertaining to Obstetrics and Gynecology and the treatment of the female patient. Some of the many topics include ovarian cancer and ovarian tumors; gynecologic surgery and AIDS, HIV infection and pregnancy; Cervical Neoplasia; cancer detection and prevention.

Dr. Sethi has spent over 20 years in private practice and brings with her a wealth of knowledge from that element of medicine, as well as over 30 years in the academic side of obstetrics and gynecology. She was presented with the Special Recognition Award of Appreciation by Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine at Rootstown, Ohio for teaching medical students. Her special interests include teen pregnancy, as well as the education of residents and medical students.
Among her hobbies, Dr. Sethi enjoys listening to and dancing to music from India and keeping physically fit through exercise.

Genetic alterations in early embryonic development, including maternal effect and pattern mutations that produce birth defects and syndromes is an area of special interest.
Dr. Wilson has spent 27 years in academic medicine, conducting NIH-sponsored laboratory research and being elected to the Society for Pediatric Research. Over the past decade, Dr. WIlson's interests have concerned clinical care and education, with particular focus on parent education and preventive management regarding children with mental disability and birth defect syndromes. He has produced a pioneering book with the developmental pediatrician Carl Cooley, M.D.: Preventive Management for Children with Birth Defects and Syndromes, published by Cambridge University Press. Dr. Wilson's focus is to interpret patterns of anomalies/genetic disorders pre- and post-natally, and to complement diagnosis with educational information and management checklists that optimize medical care for children with special health care needs.
