RESEARCH INTERESTS
- Evaluation of oxygen cost associated with unloaded treadmill walking. This is an area where very few studies are reported in the current literature
- Investigate the effects of backward treadmill walking on oxygen consumption and heart rate on post- knee surgery patients. This could be a interdisciplinary research activity in collaboration with orthopedic physicians and Physical therapists
- Investigate the effects of dietary glycaemic index on adiposity and glucose homoeostasis in humans- This could be interdisciplinary research activity with Family physicians , Nutritionist and Physical therapist
- Effectiveness of various types of biosynthetic dressing currently available in the market. I have done few studies in the past with Dr. John Griswold and this is an area where clinical trials are very few in the current literature
- Effect of learning style and learning environment – computer assisted versus traditional- on learning outcomes in distance education. My doctoral dissertation was on this topic and I would like to continue my research in this area. I would welcome collaboration with faculty who has a background in instructional technology.
